Can the crowd skew the market? Annie Wyatt from CrowdInvest thinks it can beat the market.

What is crowd investing? The theory is that independent and diverse individuals will out-perform a singular opinion (such as portfolio managers).

CrowdInvest has tested this theory with an app. People vote on stocks they believe are bullish or bearish. The app builds an index from the top 35 bullish stocks into an ETF traded on the NYSE. CrowdInvest saw the Crowd’s performance beat the S&P 500 in 2016.
